Job summary

Briggs & Stratton in Auburn, AL seeks a Production Supervisor to lead Supervisors/Group Leads, ensure safety, maximize production volume, and optimize cost and quality across manufacturing operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Production Management or related field and at least seven years of manufacturing experience in machining and assembly.

Strong supervisory and ERP experience preferred, with fluency in English.

Strong supervisory experience and knowledge of manufacturing management systems.

Responsibilities

Monitors costs, quality and quantity, ensuring optimal use of hours, skills, machines and facilities.
Plans production schedules, technical requirements and manufacturing controls.
Expedites production, resolves delays and initiates corrective actions.
Coordinates programs on methods, cost reduction, maintenance, training, staffing and safety.
Enforces company rules, regulations and policies.
Participates in budgeting and reports on performance vs budget.
Assists in capital equipment selection for production areas.
Performs managerial duties including hiring, coaching, directing work, and performance management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
