Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing experience including people management; high school diploma.
• 1+ year manufacturing experience with Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working in multiple departments preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement methods and cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develops, trains and motivates team members to achieve safety, efficiency, proficiency, cooperation and morale; maintains awareness of plant policies; may implement new policies.
• Analyzes production problems and devises procedures to minimize lost time due to delays or shortages.
• Reviews schedules, coordinates production/testing activities, and manages team assignments across shifts.
• Assists with monitoring manufacturing costs, quality and quantity; ensures effective use of hours, machines and facilities.
• Interacts with engineers to modify machines or processes to improve safety and quality; liaises between plant and engineering.
• Uses data to estimate work-hour requirements for continuous improvement projects and drives projects to deadline.
• Manages costs and budgets and provides corrective actions for budget control.
• Inspects materials and finished product for quality compliance.
• Performs HR duties such as interviewing, coaching and developing employees; planning and directing work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
