Job summary

Super Micro Computers, Inc. is seeking a (Sr.) Manager, Production to oversee rack production lines, set performance targets, analyze metrics, and drive improvements. You will lead a team to ensure efficient manufacturing that meets customer requirements and quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with the rack PM team to execute programs and ramp production effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of production management experience in service, rack, system or server industry.
• Experience in rack manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency and yield; design of experiments.

Responsibilities

• Directs development and implementation of activities in rack production areas to meet goals and quality.
• Manages team staffing, training and performance.
• Guides rack team through root cause analysis and prevention.
• Achieves production schedules based on rack product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
• Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation.
• Launches new rack programs and leads production ramps and design changes with program management.
