Job summary

Versova is seeking a Production Manager to oversee all layer production operations at a Corwith, IA site. You will lead multiple teams to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant egg production, aligned with animal welfare and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, schedule optimization, feed coordination, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement and strong safety culture. This role requires leadership and hands-on operational oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Management, or related field.
• 5-7 years of leadership experience in live production operations.
• Experience in large-scale animal agriculture.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop production managers, leaders, and supervisors.
• Oversee daily flock management and bird welfare.
• Maintain biosecurity and environmental standards.
• Coordinate maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
• Ensure FDA/USDA/FSMA compliance.
• Monitor feed delivery and formulation with the feed mill team.
• Maintain production records and scheduling.
• Promote safety culture and policy compliance.
• Oversee preventative maintenance.
