Job Details:

The Senior Production Manager is responsible for directing, controlling, and coordinating all plant production aspects to maximize profitability. This role involves leading performance improvements through lean production systems, problem-solving, managing initiatives, and coaching team members, in alignment with plant leadership. The position emphasizes positive employee relations, compliance, and leadership behaviors.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring FDA and OSHA compliance.
2. Maintaining safety, sanitation, security, and food safety standards.
3. Collaborating across departments to meet production and quality goals.
4. Leading problem-solving initiatives with timely follow-up.
5. Managing projects to completion.
6. Supporting supervisors in resolving production and personnel issues.
7. Coaching supervisors on managing their teams effectively.
8. Assessing manpower needs and enforcing company policies.
9. Monitoring plant metrics and implementing continuous improvements.
10. Ensuring safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
11. Developing manufacturing plans for efficiency.
12. Implementing performance management practices.
13. Performing special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities include managing subordinate supervisors, planning and directing work, hiring, training, evaluating, and addressing team issues.

Position requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of production, maintenance, quality, safety, and material management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels.
• Sound judgment, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work off-hours as needed.
