Job summary

Staffmark Group in Fairfield, VA is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead from the floor and keep production moving. This role oversees production, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and workforce development, with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing leadership, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, Six Sigma Green Belt, and proven experience driving continuous improvement in ERP/MRP environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or similar certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or complex operational environment.
  • Experience leading managers, supervisors, and multi-functional teams.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems within a production environment.
  • Background in Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in ISO-certified or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing, material handling, shipping, receiving, and maintenance operations.
  • Drive safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance across the facility.
  • Establish operational goals and hold leadership teams accountable for results.
  • Monitor production performance and implement solutions to improve efficiency and throughput.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and optimize processes.
  • Analyze operational data and KPIs to drive business decisions and performance improvements.
  • Develop managers and supervisors through coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production and operational challenges.
  • Support equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and facility readiness.
