Job summary

Cooper Standard is seeking a materials manager at our Mount Sterling facility to help the Plant Manager drive manufacturing and materials goals. You will assist budgeting, forecasting and ensure adherence to policies across materials management.

The role emphasizes leadership, KPI ownership, and collaboration with other functions to meet delivery and quality commitments in an automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of materials management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Proven leadership and managerial skills and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and health of all functional team members.
• Ensure cycle counts are performed as required.
• Manage inventory levels per World Class Manufacturing standards.
• Develop policies for plant operations aligned with materials management and quality systems.
• Ensure policies reflect customer delivery requirements and information transfer.
• Align shipping/receiving, scheduling, vendor releasing and MRP buying with corporate policies.
• Foster teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Support TS 16949 and ISO 14001 compliance.
