Job summary

TAPCO (Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC) in Brown Deer, WI is seeking a Production Lead II to drive performance, develop staff, and meet daily production demands. The role focuses on frontline leadership, solving problems, and coaching teams to operate safely and efficiently.

You will participate in hiring, manage workflows, uphold 5S standards, and contribute to gainsharing metrics. TAPCO offers comprehensive benefits and a pathway for growth through hands-on leadership and process

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years production lead experience.
• 1–3 years of production scheduling/planning.
• Minimum 2 years lean manufacturing / 5S experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic control systems.
• Strong computer skills: MS Office, Outlook, and ERP systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow.
• Ability to read and interpret English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction and leadership to the production team and plan labor needs.
• Monitor productivity, streamline procedures, and schedule workflows for efficiency.
• Serve as escalation point and communicate with the Production Supervisor daily.
• Participate in hiring and corrective action processes for the department.
• Monitor safety, quality, and delivery goals of assigned work cells.
• Foster a positive, engaged, and continuous improvement culture.
• Oversee staff performance and implement improvements.
• Ensure safe operations and adherence to 5S and safety policies.
• Coordinate priorities with Production leadership and audits.
