Job summary

Matthews International is seeking a capable Production Supervisor/Manager in the Indiana area to lead production teams, ensuring client deliverables meet quality and schedule expectations. You will coordinate with project teams and clients, analyze market trends, and guide process improvements to achieve financial targets.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and planning skills, with a potential for occasional travel and effective collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Production or related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred.
• 6+ years of experience managing production teams.
• Travel locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Attends pre-production meetings and interacts with customers as necessary.
• Ensures high quality standards in production client deliverables.
• Works with project team and client contacts to follow project specifications and meet client needs.
• Maintains understanding of market and competitor trends for assigned clients.
• Develops knowledge base for client categories and shares insights with team.
• Develops sound and effective production solutions to issues impacting department or client.
• Creates strong internal partnerships to ensure client needs are met and projects stay within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Proactively leads development of improved production processes to better serve clients and achieve financial targets.
• Sets priorities for the team and coordinates work with other supervisors.
• Monitors progress with direct reports to ensure targets and deadlines are met and policies followed.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employees; mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
• Additional duties as assigned.
