Qualifications

• 7+ years of Unix/Linux and networking fundamentals.
• 7+ years coding in Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust or Go.
• Experience learning software, frameworks and APIs.
• Experience with capacity planning for Internet services.
• Knowledge of web technologies and Internet service architectures (LAMP/MEAN, CDN, Load Balancing).
• Experience configuring and running infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own back-end services including fleet management and core infrastructure used by apps like WhatsApp/Instagram/Facebook/Meta Ads.
• Write and review code; productionize code with AI tools; develop docs and capacity plans; debug live at scale.
• Share on-call rotation and act as escalation contact for incidents.
• Collaborate with engineers; ensure code and systems are in production for billions of users.
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, scalability, efficiency, and performance.
• Establish ownership with end-to-end understanding; mentor teammates and drive impact.
