Job summary
Synthomer is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily production activities and the continuous improvement program at our Roebuck, SC site. You will report to the Plant Manager, supervise a mix of salaried and hourly staff, and partner with the technology and commercial teams to deliver high-quality products on time.
The role emphasizes safety, process improvement, and cost efficiency within a global specialty polymers business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry or polymer science.
- 10 years of chemical plant manufacturing experience - monomer/reactive chemistry preferred.
- Experience in chemical plant manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production activities and Continuous Improvement programs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop salaried and hourly staff.
- Ensure SHE compliance and safe, cost-effective operations.
- Collaborate with technology, production, and commercial teams to meet on-time delivery and quality goals.
- Drive process improvements to reduce costs and variability.
