Job summary

Optiver is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join the Applied AI and Platform Engineering team. You will design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems that automate workflows and accelerate engineering across the firm. You will own the full lifecycle from problem framing to deployment and continuous improvement.

You will work with Python and modern AI frameworks, evaluate models, and ensure production readiness with robust observability and governance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Production experience developing Python applications and AI systems.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating production LLM applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems and products.
• Evaluate models and workflows, balancing capability, reliability, and cost.
• Define success metrics and build evaluation frameworks and observability.
