Job summary

Celanese is seeking a Business Line Product Steward (Advanced Chemist - Product Stewardship) to lead regulatory strategies across lifecycle stages for assigned business lines. The role partners with T&I, manufacturing, legal, and quality to ensure global compliance and support development, manufacturing, marketing, and lifecycle decisions.

The position emphasizes regulatory expertise, collaboration, and proactive risk management, with on-site work options in Florence, KY or Wilmington, DE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or related scientific discipline required.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Stewardship, Regulatory Affairs, EHS, Product Safety, or related field.
• Experience with SAP EHS/Product Compliance systems or ability to quickly learn enterprise compliance platforms.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to operate in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Product Stewardship contact for assigned business lines.
• Provide regulatory guidance to technical, business, and commercial teams.
• Develop understanding of the business line products, applications, customers, markets, and strategic objectives.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate potential business impacts and recommended actions.
• Lead cross-functional project teams to support regulatory assessments and business impact.
