GitHub is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to join the Security Services organization. This role focuses on securing GitHub’s software by conducting analyses, mitigating risks, and embedding security practices throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will lead security reviews, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and communicate complex risks to diverse audiences. This is a fully remote opportunity in the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security analysis, research, or engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in cloud security and modern software development practices.
• Strong abilities to translate technical security concepts for audiences.
• Security certifications such as OSWE or BSCP are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Analyze complex security issues using multiple data sources to drive remediation.
• Lead security reviews and design/architecture security evaluations.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to embed security into SDLC.
• Identify mitigations and stay current with evolving security landscape.
• Translate technical risk into actionable insights for leadership.
• Develop secure engineering guidance and collateral.
• Prepare responses to security threats with communications for execs.
