Optimum is seeking a Product Security Engineer focused on application security to partner with engineering and product teams. You will shape product strategy, advocate for strong security controls, and drive secure architecture across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will mentor teams, conduct threat modeling, and lead security testing and automation efforts while staying ahead of evolving threats and trends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering and security for cloud and containerized environments.
• Experience with API, web, and mobile app security concepts.
• Ability to communicate complex security topics to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed secure-by-default guardrails.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments early in development lifecycle.
• Conduct rigorous security testing and reviews to address weaknesses.
• Lead automation of security processes across cloud, SaaS, and data centers.
• Design, deploy, and support security solutions across cloud and on‑premise footprints.
• Educate and mentor teams to foster a security‑first culture.
• Stay updated on threats and technologies; implement improvements.
• Contribute to incident response and root-cause analysis.
