Job summary

Candidate must have a BS in engineering and 6–8 years in NA regulatory environments (UL/CSA, CFR/OSHA) with strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6–8 years in NA agency approvals (UL, CSA), CFR/OSHA, or quality engineering for new products.
• Experience analyzing and using power tools.
• Strong written and oral English communication.
• Knowledge of North American product safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new product designs for hazards; develop hazard mitigation requirements.
• Create and maintain Product Safety Review documents throughout development.
• Communicate safety requirements to project teams via meetings and emails.
• Review test reports to confirm safety qualifications are met.
• Provide safety input for user manuals and warning labels.
• Mentor other safety engineers and project teams on safety design.
• Develop and update Product Safety procedures and guidelines.
• Support investigations of field returns and product testing.
• Challenge product teams on hazard mitigation methods.
