Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Product Quality Engineering Lead to own and scale a quality organization across aerospace programs. You will guide investigations, root cause analyses, and CAPA activities while shaping end-to-end quality systems and processes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in aerospace quality, strong GD&T, AS9100D experience, and the ability to influence across design, manufacturing, and test teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Quality Engineers.
• Set priorities and balance workload across the team with stakeholder alignment.
• Build a high-ownership culture ensuring engineers are accountable for quality.
• Develop end-to-end quality processes including inspection planning, nonconformance management, and root cause corrective action.
• Drive processes to AS9100D compliance and other certifications as they arise.
• Define metrics for product and team performance and establish visible reporting.
• Provide input into the Quality Management System and product realization/verification.
• Lead or support investigations, test failures, and first article inspections (FAI).
• Own escalations for product quality issues and lead MRB, CAPA activities.
• Collaborate with Design, Configuration, Systems Engineering, Operations, and Test.
• Other duties as assigned
