Collins Aerospace has an opportunity for a Product Quality Engineer to join the Cedar Rapids Displays IPT at our Cedar Rapids, Iowa facility. You will support operations in maintaining the highest quality standards to deliver outstanding products to our customers. You will support day to day quality improvement efforts and deploying strategic quality initiatives across the site. You will work within and influence cross-functional teams to meet and improve upon established quality and delivery goals . You should embrace problem-solving, a nd have a keen eye for detail, while r emaining dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products and processes . You will develop relationships with both internal and external customers to create a positive work environment while collaborating with the production assembly area and other support functions such as Industrial, mechanical and design engineers.
What You Will Do:
Support product and process quality engineering by establishing quality plans, root cause analysis, and driving corrective/preventive and improvement actions.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to enhance product quality and optimize processes.
Facilitate internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer-specific quality audits, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards.
Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and defects, implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
Provide leadership and mentoring in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing methodologies.
Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and KPIs to senior leadership and customers.
Drive problem resolution through to completion for customer and internal escapes.
Utilizes Advance Quality Planning techniques (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, 8-D and Control Plans, etc.) to identify risks and propose mitigation solutions.
Participate in real-time problem resolution with production and Quality Clinic teams

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics ( STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
5+ years of experience in a product quality position.
3+ years of experience with AS9100, NADCAP, and aerospace regulatory requirements.
3+ Years of experience with root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and quality system auditing.
U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Knowledge of Six-Sigma tools and practices
Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D problem-solving, and Six Sigma).
Data analytics skills with the ability to prepare, process, analyze, and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources while keeping the big picture in mind.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment .

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
