Job description

Thank you for considering a career at Ensemble!

Ensemble is a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions for health systems, including hospitals and affiliated physician groups. They offer end-to-end revenue cycle solutions as well as a comprehensive suite of point solutions to clients across the country.

Ensemble keeps communities healthy by keeping hospitals healthy. We recognize that healthcare requires a human touch, and we believe that every touch should be meaningful. This is why our people are the most important part of who we are. By empowering them to challenge the status quo, we know they will be the difference!

O.N.E Purpose:
  • Customer Obsession: Consistently provide exceptional experiences for our clients, patients, and colleagues by understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Embracing New Ideas: Continuously innovate by embracing emerging technology and fostering a culture of creativity and experimentation.
  • Striving for Excellence: Execute at a high level by demonstrating our “Best in KLAS” Ensemble Difference Principles and consistently delivering outstanding results.
The Opportunity:

Ensemble Health Partners is standing up a Product Program Management function, and we're hiring the first members of the team. Our technology and innovation/product organization runs on an initiative/pod structure. Cross-functional teams move products through a defined Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) with maturity gates and a regular planning cadence. Our Product Operations team owns the tools and processes behind that system.

Senior Product Program Managers are embedded with product teams and apply those standards consistently, so we can ship strong products that improve revenue cycle operations for focus areas within the Patient, Payer, and Provider domains.

What You'll Do

Each Product Program Manager covers 2 to 3 pods or initiative areas, working directly with the Product Leads in those areas. Your job is to keep their programs moving: shipping on cadence, surfacing risks early, and creating additional connectivity across product, engineering, and rev cycle operations.

Day to day, that means:

  • Guiding your programs through the PDLC and its gates, with the appropriate standards and rigor applied. You make sure requirements are documented, entry and exit criteria are met and gate reviews are prepared, well-run, and end in a decision.
  • Running the planning and delivery rhythm for your pods, including planning cycles and the recurring meetings that keep teams aligned. Meetings you run should produce decisions, not just updates.
  • Identifying risks, dependencies, and blockers before they become problems, then either resolving them yourself or escalating with options and a recommendation.
  • Supporting the business needs of your programs: budget and forecast support, vendor coordination, value realization visibility, resource visibility, and status reporting to executive leadership.
  • Working within our established processes and tooling, and holding your programs to them. Consistent process is what makes delivery predictable and lets leadership compare programs across the portfolio.
  • Uses enterprise AI tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) as a default part of daily work to accelerate analysis, drafting, and program reporting.
  • Helping build the function itself. The playbooks, templates, and norms for Product Program Management at Ensemble don't fully exist yet. You'll help write them based on what you learn in your pods and value streams.
How You'll Work

You'll work most closely with a few groups:

  • Product & Innovation Leaders are your primary partners. They own product strategy, priorities, and value definition. You own execution & rigor: the path from decision to delivery. When this partnership works, Product Leads see you as someone they can't run their program without.
  • Product Operations designs the processes, tools, and standards your programs run on. You're their feedback loop. You apply what they build, tell them what's working and what isn't, and help improve the operating model each cycle.
  • Engineering builds and ships the work. Sprint execution stays with Engineering, but you coordinate everything that surrounds them: readiness going in, outcomes and issues coming out, and the cross‑team dependencies in between. Engineering should experience you as the person who keeps their runway clear.
What You Bring
Required:
  • 7-10 years of prior experience in product program management or product-oriented project management. You've driven software or technology products through a development lifecycle, not just managed generic projects.
  • Fluency navigating a structured PDLC: gate criteria, phase transitions, and what a healthy program looks like at each stage.
  • A track record of coordinating cross-functional teams (product, engineering, design, operations, business stakeholders) without direct authority over them.
  • Executive status reporting
  • Good judgment about when to push, when to escal…
