Job summary

Orion180 Insurance Co. in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Product Owner to join the Innovation & Technology team. You will translate business requirements into well-defined user stories, own the backlog, and collaborate with stakeholders, Tech Leads, and delivery pods to ensure quality and timely delivery.

You’ll work in a Scrum-based environment with hybrid delivery, mentor others, and help drive compliance, acceptance criteria, and successful project outcomes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in insurance or software product experience.
• 5+ years in Product Owner/Product Manager/Business Analyst roles with complex, multi-stakeholder requirements.
• 2+ years in Product Owner/Product Manager/Business Analyst roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar agile tools for backlog management.
• Familiarity with insurance operations, products, or technology is preferred.
• CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe Product Owner certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own translation of business requirements into well-defined user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, Tech Leads, and delivery pods to ensure quality and alignment.
• Maintain and prioritize the backlog in Azure DevOps, ensuring stories are groomed and sequenced by business value.
• Partner with Tech Leads to confirm technical completeness and flag architectural implications.
• Conduct formal UAT with stakeholders for external features, compliance changes, and financial calculations.
• Track compliance deadlines and manage timelines across the delivery cycle.
• Provide progress updates and release communications to stakeholders.
• Mentor and support other Product Owners on story quality and stakeholder engagement.
