MISO seeks a Senior Product Owner to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Energy Market Management product. Drive modernization, simplify complex tech, and lead capabilities to improve market operations.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and delivery teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes. The role requires energy market knowledge, strategic thinking, and ability to influence at all leadership levels while hands-on with technology teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• At least six years of product management, product ownership, business analysis, systems engineering, or related experience.
• Deep energy industry knowledge, ideally in energy markets, with strong cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to lead product strategy, manage products across lifecycle, and align cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of defining success metrics and using data to drive decisions.
• Experience applying AI tools in product management to improve productivity, analysis, and workflow.
• Preferred certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe PO/PM and/or PMI-ACP, Product Owner/System Engineering and/or Product Owner/UX experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the product vision and roadmap for complex products, influencing stakeholders and executives to shape long-term strategy.
• Serve as a product evangelist aligning cross-functional teams and executives around key product objectives.
• Synthesize insights and lead the development and standardization of product metrics.
• Lead discovery efforts by framing strategic questions and coordinating research activities.
• Apply financial and strategic acumen to build business cases and guide investments.
• Partner with cross-functional experts to shape solution design and ensure value delivery.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance analysis, streamline workflows, and identify opportunities.
• Mentor Product Owner I and II teams to elevate capabilities and strategic thinking.
