About the role:

Our Data & Analytics Technology team turns raw operational, retail, and customer data into products the business actually runs on — pipelines, semantic models, dashboards, and increasingly AI- and agent-driven experiences. We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner to own the what and the why behind that work: setting the vision for our data products, shaping a prioritized roadmap, and making sure everything we build ties back to measurable value for stores, operations, finance, and leadership.

This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by taking work from darkness to light — turning vague, half-formed asks into clear, sequenced, buildable work. You’ll sit at the seam between business stakeholders and a hands-on engineering and analytics team, and you’ll be accountable for the outcomes, not just the output.

What you’ll do:

• Own the product vision and roadmap for a portfolio of data products — pipelines, curated data models, self-service reporting, and emerging AI/analytics capabilities — and keep it aligned to enterprise priorities.
• Own and groom the backlog. Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritize ruthlessly against value and effort, and keep the team focused on the highest-impact work.
• Translate business needs into requirements. Partner with retail operations, finance, marketing, and technology stakeholders to understand the real problem behind the request, then define what “done” looks like.
• Drive delivery. Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews; unblock the team; and make trade-off decisions in real time as scope and constraints shift.
• Measure what matters. Define success metrics for each data product, track adoption and business impact, and use that feedback to reprioritize.
• Manage stakeholders and expectations. Communicate roadmap, progress, and trade-overs clearly to both executives and end users; say no (and why) when you need to.
• Champion data quality and trust. Partner with engineering on upstream data issues, definitions, and governance so the products people rely on are accurate and consistent.

What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years in product ownership, product management, or a closely related role, ideally with data, analytics, or platform products.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity — you can walk into an unstructured problem space and leave it with a clear, prioritized plan.
• Strong working knowledge of the modern data stack and enough fluency to earn the trust of engineers and analysts (e.g., cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, cloud platforms such as AWS, and BI tools such as Power BI). You don’t have to write the pipeline, but you need to understand how data moves and where it breaks.
• Comfort with retail or operational data — thinking in dimensions like day, store, and SKU — and translating that into business outcomes.
• Fluency in agile delivery practices (backlog management, story writing, sprint cadences) and the judgment to adapt them rather than follow them dogmatically.
• Excellent communication skills across a wide audience — from executives to end users to engineers.
• A bias toward outcomes and value over volume of tickets closed.
• Expert in JIRA, tracking metrics, driving transformation and agile adoption.

Nice to have :

• Experience in retail, QSR, food & beverage, or another high-volume, multi-location business.
• Exposure to AI/ML or agent-based analytics products (e.g., natural-language querying, semantic layers, LLM-powered analytics such as Snowflake Cortex).
• Familiarity with POS or transactional source systems and the data-quality realities that come with them.
• Experience standing up or maturing a product practice within a data or platform team.
