Job summary

IP Corporation in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst - Product to own the enterprise product master data and taxonomy. You will lead workshops with R&D, Sales, and IT to define standards and governance across Optiva PLM, Infor M3 ERP, MES, and Salesforce CRM, driving clean, unified product data.

You will mentor analysts, map source-to-target data flows, and partner with PMs to deliver the Product Master workstream in a complex manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, with an MBA, CBAP, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 8 years of business analysis experience, including 3+ years in product master data.
• Advanced skills in requirements management, taxonomy/attribute modeling, data dictionaries, process mapping, and governance.
• Exposure to MDM, PIM, ERP, PLM, or MES platforms such as Optiva, SAP, Oracle, Informatica, Stibo, Syndigo, or Salsify, plus MS Office.
• Ability to translate business definitions into functional data requirements and governance rules.
• Industry certifications (Lean Six Sigma, APICS, PMP, Agile) are helpful.
• Chemical/coatings/process manufacturing experience is helpful.
• Experience with SKU rationalization, catalog build-out, or data governance programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with cross-functional teams to document product data definitions.
• Define enterprise product taxonomy and hierarchy and establish authoritative data ownership.
• Develop the product master schema covering identifiers, names, descriptions, and specs.
• Map and clean up existing product data, identifying duplicates and gaps.
• Document data flows: Optiva PLM to MES and Infor M3, and Salesforce integration.
• Establish data governance rules, approvals, and remediation workflows.
• Partner with PMs to scope and deliver the Product Master workstream.
• Mentor junior analysts in data modeling and governance practice.
