Job summary

Renesas is seeking a senior professional to shape MCU-based platform-management and control-plane solutions for server ecosystems. You will define requirements, roadmaps, and reference designs, collaborating with hyperscalers, OEMs/ODMs, and ecosystem partners to translate market needs into differentiated silicon and firmware.

The role emphasizes distributed管理 across compute, accelerators, storage, power, and cooling subsystems, with strong focus on secure, interoperable platform management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in system architecture, server platform management, embedded systems, semiconductor product definition, technical product management, or applications engineering.
• Strong knowledge of server motherboards, CPU/GPU/AI accelerator platforms, storage backplanes, and power/cooling subsystems.
• Understanding of BMC-based out-of-band management and related controllers.
• Familiarity with MCTP, PLDM, SPDM, and Redfish interoperability.
• Knowledge of server sideband interfaces (I2C/SMBus, I3C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PMBus).

Responsibilities

• Define MCU requirements for server platform management and distributed control across subsystems.
• Translate customer input into MRDs, business cases, roadmaps, and investment priorities.
• Define use cases for rack-level monitoring, power sequencing, telemetry, and fault recovery.
• Lead technical discovery with hyperscalers, OEMs/ODMs, and BMC/firmware vendors.
• Create positioning, messaging, launch plans, and sales enablement.
• Align silicon and firmware plans with platform schedules and Redfish interoperability.
