Job description

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

Launched in 2023, Integrated Services creates and markets new customer experiences by integrating hardware, software and services across Ford Blue, Model e and Ford Pro. These products and services allow Ford's retail and commercial customers to customize their vehicles like never before with OTA (over-the-air)-driven experiences that grow better over time. Ford is developing leadership at the forefront of connected, digital platforms that will revolutionize every aspect of how vehicles function, the way people interact with them, and the value those vehicles provide.

In this position...

The Vehicle Care Product Management team is at the forefront of transforming the Ford vehicle ownership experience, and we're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead a cutting-edge initiative. This role is specifically responsible for defining the strategy, building the product, and driving the adoption of a groundbreaking AI-augmented two-way messaging platform that connects our dealer partners (via the Vehicle Care Portal - VCP) directly with our customers (via FordPass).

You will be instrumental in leveraging sophisticated technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs) and integrating with critical Service Scheduling APIs to move from manual, reactive communications to proactive, intelligent engagement. This isn't just about sending messages; it's about creating seamless, personalized interactions that build customer trust, significantly improve dealer efficiency by reducing manual workload, and unlock substantial revenue opportunities currently being missed.

As the Senior Product Manager for this area, you will be a true owner, making data-driven decisions informed by connected vehicle insights and business performance metrics like Service Appointments Booked and Parts Revenue. You will coordinate strategy and development across engineering, design, data science, AI specialists, and multiple product teams (VCP, FordPass, Service APIs), while also closely partnering with our dealers and external vendors.

The ideal candidate will be deeply passionate about solving complex problems, thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment, and possess the ability to operate both strategically in defining the future vision and tactically in delivering results through iterative development. You will be a leader within the organization, taking end-to-end ownership and successfully navigating cross-functional dependencies to bring this critical platform to life.

Qualifications

You'll have...

  • 5+ years of experience in a product management role, with a focus on digital products and platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience of successfully launching and iterating on user-facing features that delivered measurable business results.
  • 2+ years of experience working on large-scale websites or applications with a significant user base.
  • 2+ years of experience with A/B testing methodologies is essential with strong analytical skills and comfort using data to inform decisions.

Even better, you may have...

  • Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with or developing products leveraging Artificial Intelligence or Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience working within a franchise model or with dealer networks (e.g., automotive, retail, etc.).
  • Experience with messaging platforms, CRM systems, or customer communication tools.
  • Familiarity with service scheduling systems.
  • Experience with connected vehicle data or automotive service operations.
  • Exceptional cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to influence outcomes in a matrixed environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Excellent business judgment and a demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.
  • Proven experience using data and analytics to inform product decisions, measure impact, and influence stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success owning and driving roadmap strategy, definition, and execution.
  • Experience leading the end-to-end delivery of complex software products or platforms from concept to launch and iteration.
  • A track record of setting ambitious goals and consistently exceeding them.
  • Ability to develop ideas independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Exceptional ability to work independently and effectively collaborate across diverse internal teams and external organizations (including partners and customers/users).
  • Strong understanding and experience working with KPIs and OKRs to drive product and business outcomes.
  • Experience facilitating user research (interviews, surveys, etc.) to gather insights and validate product concepts with target users (dealers and customers).
  • Highly adaptable and able to manage significant variability and ambiguity inherent in developing innovative solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
