Job summary

The role emphasizes managing complex regulatory landscapes, collaborating with policy/legal teams, and delivering scalable tooling and processes. Strong communication and strategic thinking are required.

Qualifications

• 8 years of product management or related technical experience.
• 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand the breadth of applicable global content regulations and their requirements for how the product behaves, the processes it must support (e.g., removals), reporting requirements, and how these requirements are implemented.
• Develop and promulgate a consistent and durable strategy for the best outcomes in this area, anticipating emerging trends and identifying opportunities to better-position Google in an ever-shifting regulatory landscape.
• Work with multiple product, Trust & Safety, and compliance teams to ensure full compliance with these regulations and identify opportunities to improve these systems and better align them with product needs and ways of working.
• Represent the product perspective, emerge regulations and collaborate with policy, legal, and other product teams to develop strategies to ensure regulations are sustainable and well-aligned.
