Upside is seeking a Product Manager for the restaurant vertical. You will own strategy, pricing, and merchant-facing features, adapting the core incrementality system to restaurant economics and building a path to scale with operators.
You will collaborate with data science, engineering, and sales to drive adoption, retention, and measurable profit for restaurant partners, while shaping the wedge product and renewals.
We created Upside to transform brick-and-mortar commerce. Our technology uses the sophistication of online retail—profit measurement, attribution, and incrementality—to provide users with more value on their everyday purchases and brick-and-mortar businesses with new, profitable customers. We’ve helped millions of users earn 2 to 3 times more cashback than any other product, and hundreds of thousands of brick-and-mortar businesses earn measurable profit. Billions of dollars in commerce run through the Upside platform every year, and that value goes directly back to our retailer partners, the consumers they serve, and important sustainability initiatives.

Upside has established itself in fuel and scaled into grocery. Restaurant is the vertical with the most headroom and the least built — and this role owns it. As the Product Manager for the restaurant vertical, you’ll operate like an entrepreneur inside a company that already has distribution, data, and a proven measurement engine: you decide which restaurant segments to win, what the wedge product is, and how the economics have to work for a restaurant operator to see real, provable profit. That means adapting Upside’s core incrementality system to restaurant behavior, shaping the offer optimization models that price every promotion, and building the merchant‑facing product that turns measured profit into a partner who renews and expands. Few PM roles come with this much ownership over a real business.
This hybrid role is based in our Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC office. In‑office attendance is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and may increase based on project‑based needs and changes to Upside’s in‑office policy over time.
In addition to base salary, this position is also eligible for equity and benefits. The final starting pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
