Description

At Amazon, our vision is to become the most customer-centric company on earth. Achieving this goal requires ensuring we work with carriers who are good actors and share this vision. We do this by verifying our carriers, their businesses, and relevant information.

The Relay Central organization in Middle Mile Product and Tech (MMPT) builds distributed carrier screening and detection systems using machine learning to deliver next-generation carrier identity and screening products. We prioritize security, reliability, availability, and high precision at massive scale, all while protecting customers and fostering a fun work environment.

You will lead products that analyze and remove sophisticated bad actors involved in identity and supply chain abuse, while protecting legitimate carriers. Your role involves developing a roadmap to improve customer and carrier experience by launching precise identification products to trigger removal of bad actors proactively. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams, leverage various data sources and analytical techniques, and work with engineering and research teams to launch new features. Building operational and business metrics to identify improvement opportunities is also key.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end relay carrier screening products to prevent fraud and abuse worldwide.
  • Drive goals related to fraud prevention, customer experience, and efficiency improvements.
  • Foster a culture of escalation and debate.
  • Create business cases for new products and features, addressing barriers through problem-solving and stakeholder coordination.
  • Align with business stakeholders on a cohesive product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with global product and program managers to develop new products and features.
  • Analyze data to identify risk trends and new opportunities.
  • Document business requirements and work with engineering and research teams for development.
  • Communicate project information to stakeholders via updates, reviews, and launches, identifying potential risks.
  • Engage with customers for feedback, onboarding, and support.
  • Apply new technologies across product areas in partnership with other teams.

About The Team

The MMPT organization builds systems across vendors, warehouses, and carriers to optimize delivery time and cost. Our services handle thousands of requests per second, impact billions of dollars annually, and integrate with a global network. We aim to revolutionize transportation, reduce costs, and improve delivery experiences through innovation and science.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product management, business development, or related fields.
  • Experience owning product roadmaps and end-to-end delivery.
  • Experience as a product manager or owner, managing technology products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors in engineering, computer science, or related quantitative fields.
  • Experience influencing senior leadership with data insights.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and working across teams and stakeholders.
  • Masters degree or MBA is a plus.
