Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Product Manager for OSS-Buying to guide optimization algorithms and vendor collaboration tools. You will own roadmaps, partner with science/engineering to translate goals into measurable outcomes, and drive executive-ready narratives that fund investment.

You’ll define success metrics, work with cross-functional teams, and influence product direction to improve in-stock performance, speed, and cost to serve across Amazon’s global fulfillment network.

Qualifications

• Experience managing technical products or online services.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for the buying and vendor collaboration products — from the optimization that decides order quantities, timing, inbound routes, and placement to the products vendors use to plan with us.
• Partner with science and engineering to evolve the linear programming and machine learning models behind our buying decisions, turning business goals into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Own our critical metrics and the reports we review with leadership; define what “good” looks like and hold the products accountable to it.
• Ideate on the next generation of products and algorithms that move the needle on in-stock, delivery speed, vendor experience, and cost to serve.
• Write the narrative documents (PR/FAQ, OP1, 3YP) that align stakeholders and get investments funded.
• Work backwards from customers, vendors, and retail partners, and dive deep into data to root-cause movements and make crisp, defensible recommendations.
