Job summary

Appian seeks a Product Manager for Appian on Kubernetes to lead the roadmap, prioritize investments, and engage with customers and enterprise teams. You will partner with Engineering and Sales to align requirements with a scalable, cloud-native platform.

You’ll work closely with executives and IT staff to translate complex deployments into actionable backlog items and drive adoption of Appian on Kubernetes across customer environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product Management or Software Engineering within an enterprise software company.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience managing products supporting both SaaS and customer-managed deployments.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes.
• Experience with containerized applications across deployment and operations.
• Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure concepts like scalability, availability, resiliency, and security.
• Excellent communication with technical and executive audiences.
• Experience partnering with enterprise customers to influence product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product roadmap for Appian on Kubernetes.
• Prioritize product investments based on customer feedback, business impact, and technical strategy.
• Partner with Engineering to define requirements, refine backlog priorities, and guide implementation.
• Collaborate with architects to design scalable, cloud-native platform capabilities.
• Establish clear boundaries between customer-managed infrastructure and Appian-managed functionality.
• Write detailed product requirements and specifications for engineering teams.
• Track feature adoption and success through customer feedback and analytics.
• Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and enhancements.
• Support go-to-market initiatives and product positioning with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Build relationships with enterprise customers to understand deployment challenges and influence future direction.
