BioRender is a science communication platform on a mission to accelerate how the world learns, discovers, and communicates science. Its tools help scientists create professional figures and illustrations, and its community spans millions of users in 200+ countries. BioRender figures have appeared in more than 54,000 publications, and the company is backed by Y Combinator and other top investors.
The role
The Growth team is a cross-functional group focused on BioRender's highest-priority growth opportunities. Right now that means helping scientists discover and adopt new AI-powered figure creation and scientific graphing capabilities, improving the self-serve user experience, and finding new ways to drive activation, retention, and revenue. You would work closely with engineering, design, data science, and product leadership, and report into product leadership.
What you would do
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities by using product data, user research, and experimentation to uncover ways to improve activation, engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Develop and test strategies to help users discover and adopt BioRender's expanding capabilities, including AI-powered figure creation and scientific graphing.
- Own growth experiments end to end: form hypotheses, define success metrics, partner with engineering and design to launch experiments, analyze results, and decide what to ship, iterate on, or stop.
- Identify friction in onboarding, product discovery, and conversion, and build solutions that help users reach value faster and adopt more of BioRender.
- Develop initiatives that improve product usage, self-serve revenue, and qualified lead generation for the enterprise business.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and other teams to align on priorities and deliver initiatives that support broader company goals.
- Define requirements, prioritize work, manage scope and trade-offs, and keep projects moving from concept to launch.
- Bring forward new ideas, size opportunities, and use data and product judgment to help shape the Growth team's roadmap.
What they are looking for
- 5+ years of product management experience, including experience driving growth through product improvements, ideally in a SaaS or product-led business.
- A proven track record of shipping product improvements that drove measurable impact on adoption, engagement, retention, conversion, or revenue.
- Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience analyzing product data to understand user behavior, identify opportunities, and inform decisions.
- Ability to work through ambiguous problems, prioritize high-impact initiatives, and translate them into actionable plans.
- Strong execution skills, with experience working directly with engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and ship product initiatives.
- Nice to have: experience with AI-powered products, usage-based pricing, or credit-based monetization.
- Nice to have: background in life sciences or experience building products for scientists and researchers.
