Job description

Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $3B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead.

At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company – we made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors.

As a Work Anywhere company, we support your flexibility to work from home or in the office, so you can thrive in your ideal environment.

Join us in transforming the life sciences industry, committed to making a positive impact on its customers, employees, and communities.

The Role

Falcon Writer is Veeva's AI authoring product for regulated life sciences content. It drafts submittable documents from a customer's own data, so medical writers can produce accurate, source-backed content far faster. We are looking for a Product Manager to join the Falcon Writer team and own a core part of the product. You will work directly with medical writing, regulatory, and clinical teams at customer organizations to understand their workflows, then turn that into a roadmap engineering can build against. This is a hands‑on role in applied AI, in a domain where correctness matters more than almost anything else. This role has a preference for candidates based in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and design product features from start to finish, including user stories, functional and non‑functional requirements, feature specifications, and quality control checks. Turn ambiguous, early‑stage problems into clear technical requirements and prioritized, shippable work.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Project Management, and Product Management to ensure products are built and delivered with quality.
  • Acquire deep subject matter expertise in medical writing and work directly with medical writers, regulatory, and clinical teams to understand their document workflows, source data, and compliance requirements in detail.
  • Define the metrics that matter, including authoring speed, draft quality, and adoption, and use them to drive prioritization.
  • Be accountable for the success of the product
Requirements
  • 4+ years of hands‑on product management experience.
  • Experience shipping AI or machine learning product features, with the ability to define AI use cases that carry clear user and business value and to reason about how AI systems behave and where they need guardrails, verification, and human review.
  • Strong ability to understand complex customer workflows and ambiguous, early‑stage problems, and translate them into clear product direction and solutions.
  • Extensive customer‑facing experience, with clear, direct communication and the ability to independently lead customer discovery and align senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
  • A builder's instinct. You would rather be in the weeds with engineering than reviewing a roadmap deck.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry, SaaS, and/or enterprise products.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, clinical, medical writing, or pharma document workflows such as clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, and periodic or annual reports.
  • Experience with content management or document generation products.
  • Experience with Veeva or Vault.
  • Familiarity with generative AI workflows such as prompt design, model evaluation, or AI‑assisted authoring.
  • Experience building working prototypes with AI coding tools to test ideas quickly.
Interviewing with Veeva

We value your time and believe in a transparent hiring process. Here is the process you can expect.

  • Within 3 days, you will receive a link to a personality assessment administered by a third party.
  • Once you complete the assessment, our team will review your full application package and follow up via email with our decision.
  • If moving to the interview stage, the process is as follows:
    1. A conversation with the hiring manager
    2. A practical case exercise
    3. A final conversation with our group's Senior Leader.
  • Once all interviews are complete, the manager will be in touch with a final decision.
Perks & Benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance
  • PTO and company paid holidays
  • Retirement programs
  • 1% charitable giving program
Compensation
  • Base pay: $130,000 - $180,000 CAD
