Job summary

Roblox in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Senior/Principal Product Manager for Engine Systems Foundations to drive the vision and strategy for core engine components and deliver high-impact features for over 130 million daily players.

You will own engine performance and memory systems, collaborate with Creator Analytics, and partner with engineering and data science to push for data-driven, scalable improvements. The role is hybrid with Tue–Thu onsite.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience in technically deep products.
• Strong technical background with CS degree or equivalent, ability to discuss low-level architecture.
• Proven ability to define multi-year product vision and rally cross-functional teams.
• Founder mindset, comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving projects globally.
• Data-driven, capable of tracking complex metrics and identifying signals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executives and engineers.
• Experience with UGC platforms is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term vision and strategy for Engine Systems Foundations and invest in core pieces of a high-performance, real-time game engine.
• Own engine-related content in Creator Analytics used to monitor Roblox experiences; deliver actionable insights.
• Drive end-to-end performance workflows with the Creator organization, connecting data to Roblox Studio and Microprofiler API.
• Partner with client application teams to align on performance improvement programs and platform expansion.
• Champion data rigor; work with Data Science to measure efficacy of initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering to apply AI and architectural advances for step-function improvements.
• Go hands-on to translate roadmaps into built, deployed features with engineering leadership.
• Mentor and elevate product culture with a focus on rigorous thinking, experimentation, and customer empathy.
