About The Job

The Red Hat Edge Business Unit is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help drive the product strategy and roadmap for Red Hat’s Edge Computing portfolio. The ideal candidate has a blend of knowledge from IT Technologies (Linux OS, Kubernetes, Virtualization, Modern App Dev, etc.) and Operations Technologies (Industrial Controls & Automation systems, Retail store technologies, etc.).

What You'll Do

• Take ownership of end-to-end business needs of our customers and partners: problem definition, requirements, and managing the roadmap and backlog.
• Engage with key customers and partners in technical conversations to understand needs and work with teams to build solutions.
• Collaborate with Red Hat product and engineering teams to develop Edge-focused capabilities across products like Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and Ansible.
• Develop a deep understanding of areas such as Industrial Edge, Retail Edge, or Enterprise IT Edge.
• Manage complex, multi-phased deliverables by guiding cross-functional teams to define, scope, plan, and deliver high-quality software.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration, trust, and accountability.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience as a product manager in operations technology, enterprise software, or embedded systems.
• Deep knowledge of the edge computing industry, ecosystem players, and application architectures.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence product development.
• Experience with sales and marketing for mission-critical software products.
• Preferred experience with Industrial Automation, Retail, Telco Edge solutions.
• Knowledge of open source software and development models is preferred.
• Ability to work remotely in US Eastern hours; willing to travel up to 25%.

Additional Information

The salary range is $116,270 - $191,840, based on qualifications. Red Hat offers comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and more.
