Lonza is seeking a Senior Product Manager for QC Microbiology Future Technologies in Walkersville, MD. You will lead strategy and lifecycle for rapid microbiology and digital QC solutions, driving adoption and commercial success across cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes ownership of roadmaps, market insights, and collaboration with R&D, QA/RA, and Sales to deliver innovative software-enabled microbiology solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant experience in product management, product marketing, software product management, or portfolio management within life sciences or regulated software environments.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid development environments and backlog prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product lifecycle for software and rapid microbiology solutions.
• Develop multi-year product roadmaps aligned with customer needs and regulatory requirements.
• Define value propositions, pricing strategies, and business cases for portfolio growth.
• Translate requirements into product specifications and user stories for software teams.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA/RA, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Service teams.
• Bridge customer feedback and industry trends into product improvements and opportunities.
• Lead backlog prioritization, release planning, and cross-functional decisions.
• Support commercial teams with training, positioning, and customer materials.
• Monitor revenue, margin, adoption, and customer satisfaction metrics.
