Overview

EXL is partnering with a fast-growing financial technology organization focused on enabling small businesses through smarter access to capital. We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager, Data Platform & Integrity to act as a horizontal product and data leader across a complex, regulated product ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Analytics, with a mandate to ensure every product initiative is built with a clear, scalable, and compliant data strategy. You will be responsible for protecting data integrity at the source while enabling analytics, reporting, and advanced modeling downstream.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads during feature design to ensure data strategy is embedded in every PRD.
• Define how data is captured, stored, validated, and reported for new product initiatives.
• Serve as a technical reviewer for major product changes, assessing impact on data models, duplication, and reporting.
• Establish standards for data definitions and tracking across the product organization to ensure consistency and scalability.

Core Applications & Data Integrity

• Own and evolve the logical data model across core applications and Salesforce.
• Prevent data-related technical debt by ensuring schemas remain clean, normalized, and aligned as the platform scales.
• Define source-of-truth and data lineage rules, including auditability for manual overrides.
• Partner with Engineering to implement governance by design, embedding validation and controls directly into application workflows.

Analytics & Data Science Enablement

• Act as the primary liaison between Product/Engineering and Analytics/Data Science teams.
• Translate analytical requirements into clear engineering deliverables.
• Improve data accessibility and documentation to enable Analytics teams to self-serve and reduce ad hoc support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in fintech, lending, or regulated financial services.

• Strong knowledge of data quality, lineage, and metadata management practices.
• Experience implementing or working with data catalogs and data dictionary tools.
• Solid understanding of lending data lifecycles and related compliance requirements.
• Proven experience managing API integrations and complex data flows.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to product strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (or equivalent experience).

Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This range is provided as a general guideline and may vary based on qualifications, skills, and location.
