Job summary

Pearson seeks an experienced Senior Product Manager to own product direction for advanced assessment platforms, focusing on exam authoring, item banking, test assembly, and publishing capabilities. You will translate customer and market needs into a clear vision, roadmap, and actionable backlog for agile teams.

You will guide discovery with researchers and psychometricians, balancing value, feasibility, and governance. Strong communication and data-driven decisions are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as an individual contributor product manager, leading technically complex product initiatives from strategy through release with measurable customer, operational, and business outcomes.
• Strong discovery skills—interviewing users, usability sessions, and validating problems before committing to solutions.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted workflows or emerging technologies in product work, with governance, quality controls, and responsible design.
• Experience working closely with engineering and design in an iterative delivery model, with outcome-driven focus.
• Demonstrated success driving cross-functional alignment and marshaling resources across teams to deliver outcomes.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, make informed tradeoffs, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Define clear product vision, roadmap priorities, and backlog decisions for agile delivery teams.
• Lead product discovery across author, reviewer, approver, psychometrician, and exam-builder workflows.
• Own quality from concept to delivery, ensuring products ship with high standards and governance.
• Identify opportunities including generative AI to improve authoring efficiency and workflow.
• Build strong relationships with engineering, design, data, and stakeholders; communicate progress and risks.
• Tell a clear product story—what problem you are solving, for whom, and why it matters.
