Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Android Power and Performance to guide multi-year strategy and roadmap. You will own product goals, define strategies to build a foundational OS, and partner with developers and OEMs to align long-term plans.

You will present progress to Android leadership and work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and marketers to deliver high-impact improvements across billions of devices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience in product management working with operating systems as well as building and managing consumer electronics.
  • Experience with operating systems and application development tools and framework.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cross-organization strategy to improve Android app quality and consistency with an acute focus on low-end devices.
  • Evaluate gaps in developer insights and tools to ensure Android apps are optimized for quality user experiences.
  • Translate complex user needs and technical issues into a clear, prioritized roadmap, focusing on sustained long-term performance, taming standby power, and overall system health.
  • Define and drive the multi-year product goal to improve Android battery life across all device tiers.
