Job summary

AppZen, the leader in autonomous spend-to-pay software, seeks a Senior Product Manager to drive how AppZen integrates with external payment providers. You’ll own partnerships end-to-end and design a payments experience for an AI-driven finance workflow.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in product management with payments/fintech, hands-on integration experience, and the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable capabilities across customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management with payments/fintech focus.
• Hands-on experience building or integrating B2B payment capabilities.
• Experience evaluating payment processors, banks, networks, or other providers.
• Experience taking a payment product or integration from concept through production.
• Strong understanding of core payment lifecycle — authorization, settlement, reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Define the product strategy for extending AppZen’s platform into payments, including which capabilities to own directly versus via partners.
• Evaluate and select external payment providers; build evaluation criteria spanning capability, reliability, security/compliance, and terms.
• Own payment integrations end-to-end with engineering and provider teams from architecture to production.
• Design the end-to-end payment experience from obligation through execution, monitoring, and reconciliation.
• Define how AI-driven automation extends into payment execution within enterprise controls (authorization, approvals, fraud prevention).
• Translate complex enterprise payment requirements into scalable capabilities for multiple customers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to move capabilities from concept to adoption.
