Job summary

Asana is seeking a Senior IC product manager for its AI Platform Group in New York City. This role focuses on cross-functional discovery, prioritization, and end-to-end delivery of AI-first products that scale across the company’s AI portfolio.

You’ll partner with engineering and sales to unblock deals and drive revenue, thriving in ambiguity and leading with a platform-first approach. This is an office-centric hybrid position with in-office days on Mon, Tue and Thu.

Job description

Asana is building the platform for human and agent collaboration in the enterprise. With the launch of Agentic Work Management (AWM), AI is now a foundational part of that platform, and the shift brings a new class of problems with it. Customers need to trust agentic work, govern it, and see a return on it before they will scale it. Many of the opportunities that matter most for customers sit between our suite of AI products, rather than inside any particular one — which is where you come in.

This role sits in our AI Platform Group on a small, fast-moving team with a deliberately broad mandate: work across the boundaries other product teams operate within, identify the cross-cutting problems and opportunities that no single team owns, and build leveraged solutions that create scalable, differentiated value for our customers.

This role is based in our New York City office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner.

What You’ll Achieve

• Work directly with enterprise customers and prospects to discover the challenges they face when managing agentic work in Asana, and bring back what you learn to inform your roadmap.
• Discover and quickly validate new, high-leverage opportunities, then work cross functionally to deliver end-to-end solutions, fast.
• Consistently choose leverage over local wins: pick the problems whose solutions compound across Asana's AI products rather than improving a single surface in isolation.
• Help set the standard for what Asana invests in versus not as the AI capability landscape shifts, piloting new capabilities and accelerating their adoption and integration into our AI products.
• Decide which of our existing convictions are worth pursuing (if at all), and in what order: AI ROI measurement and reporting, AI governance, monitoring, and administration, building new capabilities for managing complex, cross-functional agentic workflows.

About You

• Senior IC product management experience in enterprise SaaS, with a track record of shipping complex products end to end.
• Hands‑on experience building or shipping an AI‑first product, with working fluency in how AI actually gets deployed and hosted: model providers, inference hosting choices, evals and quality measurement, fine‑tuning and data privacy trade‑offs.
• A platform instinct. You can see where a capability built once serves several products, and you would rather build that than the point solution, even when the point solution ships sooner.
• Energized rather than stalled by ambiguity and greenfield problems. You're comfortable being handed an outcome and a wide problem space rather than a specification.
• Strong prioritization and sequencing instincts. You can hold several plausible directions at once and still make a clear call on which one to invest in first.
• A track record of working directly with enterprise customers to unblock deals and drive revenue, and of influencing teams that don't report to you.
• Thrive on a small team where the PM is expected to prototype, run their own discovery, and work shoulder to shoulder with engineering.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $202,000-$230,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
