Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Energy Systems, Computer Science, or similar.
  • 5+ years product management in smart metering or AMI solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of electricity meter products.
  • Experience developing roadmaps, requirements and GTM strategies.
  • Understanding of AMI architecture, meter communications, deployments.
  • Knowledge of US utility standards and certification processes preferred.
  • Customer-facing experience with utilities and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication across technical and commercial teams.
  • Experience in international cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the US product roadmap for smart metering and AMI solutions.
  • Gather utility and customer requirements and translate to priorities.
  • Define product strategy, positioning and feature development plans.
  • Interface between customers, sales teams and global R&D.
  • Support product launches, utility qualification and certification.
  • Provide technical input for proposals, meetings and design discussions.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity and emerging requirements.

This is an opportunity to join a leading international provider of smart electricity metering, AMI solutions, and grid modernisation technologies as it expands its presence within the North American utility market.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between utility customers, commercial teams, and global R&D functions, helping define, localise, and optimise smart metering and AMI solutions for US utilities.

This is a highly visible role combining product strategy, customer engagement, technical product leadership, and market expertise, with direct influence over the company's growth strategy in North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the US product roadmap for smart electricity metering and AMI solutions
  • Gather utility and customer requirements and translate them into product priorities
  • Define product strategy, positioning, and feature development plans
  • Act as the key interface between customers, sales teams, and global R&D functions
  • Support product launches, utility qualification, and certification activities
  • Provide technical input for proposals, customer meetings, and solution design discussions
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging utility requirements
  • Drive continuous product improvement through customer and market feedback
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Energy Systems, Computer Science, or similar
  • 5+ years' product management experience within smart metering, electricity metering, or AMI solutions
  • Strong knowledge of electricity meter products is essential
  • Experience developing product roadmaps, requirements, and go-to-market strategies
  • Understanding of AMI architecture, meter communications, and utility deployments
  • Knowledge of US utility standards, certification processes, and metering technologies preferred
  • Customer-facing experience working directly with utilities and industry stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to operate across technical and commercial teams
  • Experience working within international and cross-functional environments

Candidates with experience focused solely on software, smart grid platforms, communications infrastructure, SCADA, ADMS, DERMS, or utility analytics will not be considered without direct electricity metering product experience.
