Job description

Semify is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the discovery, definition, development, and launch of complex product initiatives across our technology portfolio. This role turns customer, employee, and business needs into clear product requirements and works closely with engineering, design, operations, sales, and customer-facing teams to deliver solutions that create measurable business value.

The Senior Product Manager will own designated areas of Semify applications, lead moderate- to high-complexity initiatives from discovery through release, and help strengthen the company’s product management practices. The role requires strong product judgment, technical fluency, attention to detail, and the ability to influence decisions across teams without relying on formal authority.

Semify is a values-driven company with a belief that growing together creates the freedom to be more, do more, and have more. We operate in a remote-first environment, but will give preference to candidates who operate out of Rochester, NY, Greensboro, NC, or NYC-metro area. This senior level role comes with competitive pay opportunities, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with matching, and more.

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead customer and stakeholder discovery to identify underlying problems, clarify business needs, test assumptions, and evaluate potential solutions.
  • Develop clear business requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, prototypes, and other materials needed to support moderate- and high-complexity product initiatives.
  • Partner with engineering to evaluate technical approaches, dependencies, risks, tradeoffs, and implementation requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, customer success, support, and other stakeholders to ensure product decisions account for customer needs, business impact, and operational realities.
  • Lead prototype, pre-production, and final-release demonstrations for assigned initiatives, explaining complex functionality and decisions clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Conduct detailed product testing and quality assurance, validate functionality against approved requirements, and help ensure products are ready for release.
  • Implement customer and employee satisfaction measurement practices, analyze feedback, and recommend product or process improvements based on findings.
  • Contribute to product prioritization, roadmap planning, product triage, queue management, backlog grooming, and Product Review Board preparation.
  • Support the development, improvement, and consistent application of product design standards, user experience principles, and style guides.
  • Identify opportunities to use automation and artificial intelligence to improve product discovery, requirements development, testing, and other product workflows.
  • Provide peer coaching and mentorship to the Product Manager and contribute to stronger, more consistent product management practices across the department.

Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge and skills:

  • At least six years of software product management experience, including ownership of complex products or features from discovery through launch.
  • Demonstrated strength in customer discovery, stakeholder interviews, problem definition, assumption testing, and solution evaluation.
  • Experience translating business and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, prototypes, or business requirements documents.
  • Strong technical fluency and the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers on architecture considerations, dependencies, feasibility, and tradeoffs.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to understand how product decisions affect customers, employees, workflows, and business performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and executive-level storytelling skills.
  • Experience with user experience principles and design or prototyping tools such as Figma or Sketch.
  • Strong product testing and quality assurance capabilities, including careful validation of functionality against requirements.
  • Sound business judgment and an understanding of how product decisions influence revenue, retention, sales, customer success, support, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority, navigate competing priorities, and resolve cross-functional disagreement constructively.
