As a Senior Product Manager at Independence Pet Group, you’ll play a critical leadership role in shaping the future of our insurance technology solutions. You will be accountable for defining and driving the product strategy, aligning cross-functional teams, and delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions that meet market demands and business goals. Your deep product management expertise and strong strategic acumen will ensure our products are not only viable and valuable but also scalable and competitive in an evolving landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and drive a clear product strategy and roadmap aligned with company goals. Identify long-term opportunities and guide execution from concept to delivery.
  • Executive & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with executive leadership, internal stakeholders, and customers to understand needs, communicate product direction, and influence buy-in. Use insights to inform prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Market Analysis & Competitive Landscape: Lead market and competitor analysis to identify trends, white space, and opportunities. Provide thought leadership by translating these insights into forward-thinking product enhancements.
  • Customer Discovery & Needs Translation: Champion the voice of the customer, translating business problems into detailed product requirements and specifications for design and engineering teams.
  • Backlog Ownership & Prioritization: Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring features and enhancements are prioritized to drive business impact and deliver user value.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a strategic liaison across engineering, design, marketing, and sales. Drive alignment, accountability, and delivery across functions throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with GTM teams to shape launch plans, positioning, and enablement materials to ensure successful product adoption and market impact.
  • Metrics & Performance Tracking: Define success metrics and analyze product performance to inform iterations, improvements, and future investment.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to set product vision and strategy and translate it into actionable roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, user-centered design, and product development best practices.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to balance user value with business impact.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years in insurance technology (e.g., P&C, life, health, commercial, or embedded insurance).
  • Demonstrated success in scaling B2B or B2C digital products, ideally within startup or high-growth environments.
  • Experience with InsurTech platforms, APIs, and digital transformation in insurance is highly preferred.
