The Senior Product Manager – Digital Payments Networks will define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of next‑generation digital payment capabilities, including real‑time money movement, P2P payments, and integrations with leading payment networks (e.g., ACH, Zelle, RTP, FedWire or FedNow). This role requires strong product leadership, deep payments expertise, and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations, fraud/risk, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy — Develop and evolve the long‑term strategy and roadmap for digital payments, focusing on instant transfers, P2P capabilities, and emerging money‑movement experiences.
- Payment Network Integrations — Lead integrations with digital payment networks; oversee certification, rule compliance, and operational alignment.
- Requirements & Prioritization — Translate business needs into clear requirements, feature definitions, and prioritized roadmaps.
- Agile Execution — Partner with engineering to guide sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release execution.
- Fraud, Risk & Compliance — Ensure payment experiences meet regulatory, fraud, and risk standards across the transaction lifecycle.
- Transaction Lifecycle Management — Oversee end‑to‑end payment flows including authorization, posting, settlement, exceptions, and reconciliation.
- Stakeholder Leadership — Serve as the primary liaison across business, operations, customer support, and technology teams.
- Data‑Driven Decision Making — Define and track KPIs such as payment success rate, fraud loss rate, adoption, and transaction latency.
- Platform Stability — Support production stability, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 9–10+ years of product management experience.
- Hands‑on experience with digital payment networks such as Zelle, RTP, FedNow, ACH, or comparable platforms.
- Strong understanding of payment rails, settlement processes, and financial regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead Agile teams and deliver complex, technical products.
- Experience writing clear requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Exceptional communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with banking core systems, payment orchestration engines, or API‑driven financial platforms.
- Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PM/PO, or equivalent.
