Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog for payment products and services.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong Payments background and hands-on experience with Zelle as a payment gateway. The ideal candidate will drive the product vision, roadmap, and delivery for payment solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and payment partners. The candidate must have deep expertise in payment processing, real-time payments, Zelle integrations, and Agile product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog for payment products and services.
• Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business objectives.
• Gather and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable payment solutions.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, compliance, operations, and technology teams to define payment capabilities.
• Drive the implementation and enhancement of Zelle payment integrations.
• Analyze customer feedback, business needs, and market trends to prioritize product features.
• Ensure seamless integration with banking systems, payment gateways, fraud detection, and risk management platforms.
• Coordinate UAT, production releases, and post-production support.
• Monitor KPIs, payment success rates, transaction volumes, and customer experience metrics.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, NACHA guidelines, PCI-DSS, and security standards.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager in the Payments domain.
• Hands-on experience with Zelle payment gateway is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of real-time payments, ACH, RTP, and digital payment ecosystems.
• Experience working with banking or financial services organizations.
• Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with payment platforms such as Fiserv, FIS, Jack Henry, or other core banking systems.
• Knowledge of APIs, payment integrations, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with fraud prevention, payment reconciliation, and transaction lifecycle management.
• CSPO, SAFe Product Owner, or similar Agile certifications are a plus.
