Job description

As a Senior Product Manager, you will collaborate with senior leadership to create the product vision and strategy, leading cross-functional teams and overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle. Your extensive understanding of healthcare technology, combined with your strategic acumen, will guide the creation of transformative products that revolutionize pharmacy operations and elevate patient care.

In line with the broader commercial strategy set by the Director and/or Manager of the team, the Senior Product Manager manages the research, business cases, development, and launches of products within a portfolio. This job works with a large degree of independence, works directly with customers, and may provide guidance to less experienced Product Management professionals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core focus:
  • Interoperability, data integration, data sourcing and reporting
  • Ownership of the Insights analytics product, built on Google Looker
Primary duties include:
  • Overlapping with other product managers’ responsibilities, but with a unique focus on data infrastructure and interoperability
  • Roadmap Leadership: Develop and orchestrate a strategic product roadmap (in conjunction with the Manager or Director of the group), optimizing feature prioritization and resource allocation for maximum impact on business goals. During annual operating plan meetings and similar strategic discussions, provides actionable insights from market intelligence and product research to support the Director and other business unit leaders.
  • Product Vision: Define and articulate a compelling product vision that aligns with company objectives, addressing complex healthcare challenges and aligning with emerging industry trends.
  • Financial Accountability: Understand the drivers of product profitability and assist leadership in ensuring that products are hitting financial targets including budgeted revenue and margin growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify evolving trends, competitive landscape dynamics, and high-impact innovation opportunities.
  • Requirement Strategy: Collaborate with key stakeholders, industry experts, and executive leadership to drive the product strategy, gathering profound insights to shape visionary product roadmaps.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams, seamlessly orchestrating efforts across engineering, design, sales, marketing, and executive leadership.
  • Provides guidance to less-experienced Product Management professionals and may assist in internal trainings or mentorship on behalf of the Director.
  • Human-Centered Design: Champion a user-centric design philosophy, ensuring the creation of interfaces and experiences that amplify pharmacists' capabilities and expertise.
  • Iterative Excellence: Implement iterative development methodologies, utilizing advanced data analysis and user feedback to drive continuous product enhancements and optimizations.
  • Go-to-Market Mastery: Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to craft sophisticated go-to-market strategies that establish the product as an industry standard.
  • Performance Analytics: Define and monitor an extensive range of performance metrics, translating data insights into strategic decisions and tactical improvements. Conducts product pilot tests, customer trials, focus groups, and other product concept testing to gather customer feedback and to determine the product's potential return on investment. Measures and evaluates key performance indicators for the specific product to assess its potential viability and ongoing performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure rigorous adherence to regulatory compliance, industry standards, and data security throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Insights & Looker Product Ownership: Own the customer-facing Insights analytics product built on Google Looker. Manage customer interactions with the tool, translate customer business needs into reporting solutions, and determine whether a request can be met with a dashboard or requires data architecture work (e.g., permissions or data model changes). Write and prioritize work requests for the data team when architecture work is needed.
  • Customer Onboarding & Enablement: Onboard new Insights customers, including Looker dashboard builder licensing, training, and building their first custom reports. Lead in-depth training for large customers (e.g., multi-session webinar series).
  • Custom Data Feeds: Scope and coordinate custom data feeds from Insights into customers' downstream systems such as CRM and accounting software, partnering with engineering on prioritization when development resources are limited.
  • Process Maturity: Bring structure to how Insights requests are received, tracked, and assigned (e.g., support ticketing, performance metrics, and monitoring) across sales, support, and customer success, while remaining flexible to as-needed requests in an evolving product.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Be the expert regarding your product and act as a leader internally and externally for your solution.

  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and team motivation skills.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, driving data-driven approaches to decision-making
  • Hands-on experience with an in-depth business intelligence (BI) tool is required. Google Looker experience strongly preferred; Power BI or comparable BI platform experience is the minimum. Spreadsheet/Excel-based reporting alone is not sufficient.
  • Ability to build dashboards and custom reports in a BI tool. This is a product management role, not a developer, SQL, or data architecture role; the focus is understanding customer business needs and knowing when to route work to the data team.
