Job summary

Responsibilities

• Work with software developers throughout the SDLC, prioritizing work and clarifying requirements as products evolve
• Turn data into a story that business teams can act on, e.g., for marketing or sales insights
• Serve as a strategic sounding board for stakeholders rather than just coordinating projects
• Break ambiguous problems into manageable pieces and determine the best path forward

We’re partnering with a growing financial services and lending company looking for a Senior Product Manager to join a small, highly collaborative team. This is a hands-on product role with significant visibility and ownership.

You’ll work directly across technology, marketing, sales, operations, and business leadership to understand problems, evaluate opportunities, use data to guide decisions, and turn ideas into products and improvements that actually get implemented.

What You’ll Do

• Own product initiatives from idea and discovery through development, launch, and ongoing optimization
• Use SQL, Excel, and complex datasets to understand performance, identify trends, test assumptions, and influence product strategy
• Partner with marketing, sales, technology, operations, and other business stakeholders to identify needs and determine the right product solutions
• Translate business problems and opportunities into clear requirements and technical specifications for development teams
• Work closely with software developers throughout the SDLC, helping prioritize work, clarify requirements, and make decisions as products evolve
• Turn data into a story that business teams can act on, for example, helping marketing or sales understand customer behavior and where opportunities exist
• Serve as a strategic sounding board for stakeholders rather than simply taking orders or coordinating projects
• Break ambiguous or complex problems into manageable pieces and determine the best path forward

What We’re Looking For

• Product Management experience within a software-driven environment
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience partnering directly with engineering/development teams
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large or complex datasets
• SQL experience and the ability to use data to answer business questions and influence decisions
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to turn analysis into a clear business story
• Ability to think strategically while still getting into the details when necessary
• Strong problem-solving skills—you’re comfortable being handed an ambiguous problem and figuring out how to break it down
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Natural curiosity and the confidence to challenge assumptions, ask good questions, and bring new ideas forward
• Experience in financial services, consumer lending, fintech, or a similar data-heavy environment is a plus
