Job summary

Flexcar, based in Boston, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead end-to-end product work across multiple verticals. You will own initiatives from problem definition through measurement, partnering with engineering, design, operations, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Flexcar islooking for a Senior PM to joinits fast-movingproduct team and take onhigh-impactIC work acrossmultipleproduct verticals.You’llbe tasked with getting up to speed onFlexcar’sbusiness model, deeply understanding our customers’ needs, and moving some of ourmostimportantproductworkforward. This isn't a role where you'll be handed a pre-scoped roadmapto execute against:you'll beidentifying opportunities with the clearest value, building the business case, executing acrosswhichevercombination of engineering,design,operations, and cross-functional partners the problem requires, and reading out on impact.

The right person for this role is energized by thatlevel of ownership, excited to take on that responsibility within a business that is rapidly growing, and eager to grow a skillset that extends beyond the traditional PM role.

What You'll Do

Own product areas end-to-end.You'llbe accountable for outcomes across one or more product verticals. What "shipping" looks like varies week to week: sometimesit'sa significant feature launch, sometimesit'sa policy change, a process redesign, or an analysis that unlocks the next decision.

Contributeina variety of ways.AtFlexcar, features get built in a lot ofdifferent ways,with different engineers, different cross-functional partners, and sometimes with you writing the first version yourself.You'llbe comfortable moving between those modes, and equally comfortable closing the loop: pulling the data, building therationale, and assessing whether what shippedmovedthe needle.

Work in the in-between spaces.A lot of our highest-leverage product work happens before and after major launches: deep problem definition, stakeholder alignment, competitive research,building out pilots, and post-launch learning.You'llbe expected to find and own that work without being told to.

Execute through cross-functional collaboration.You’llneed to communicate your ideas clearly andbuild trust across the organization. Software development atFlexcarhas a broad impactand ensuring that all teams are along for the ride will be a priority.

Buildwith AI, thoughtfully.We'vescaled AI tooling quickly across the team. We expect Senior PMs to be able to write and ship basic code,prototype designs, and buildsolutionsin our agenticinfrastructure. That said, the tools are the easy part: weare focused on finding critical thinkers who pursue creative solutions.

What We're Looking For

Required

• BachelorsDegreeor equivalent experience

• 5+years of product management experience, with at least 2–3 years owning a product area independentlywithout requiring heavy support or direction

• Proven capacity to build seamlessly with partners in engineering and design

• Strong analytical instincts and genuine comfort with data.Youshould be the kind of person whobuilds a data-driven casebefore forming an opinion

• Track recordofoperatingeffectively in ambiguous or resource-constrained environments

• Genuine AI curiosity:you'vebeen using these tools in your actual workflow, not just experimenting

• Demonstrated ownership mentality: you noticewhat'sbroken and fix it without being asked

• Experience working with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders beyond a core squad (finance,marketing,operations, legal, vendors, etc.)

Nice to Have

• Prior experienceat a company withbothsignificanttechnological andoperational complexity

• Priorexperience working in a startup or similar growth-phase environment

• Experience building or shipping AI-assisted features or tooling, using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Claude Design
