Job summary

Suddath is seeking a Sr. Manager, Product Development – Final Mile Solutions to lead the strategy and development of delivery technology platforms that optimize final‑mile execution, visibility, customer experience, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for transportation and/or final‑mile delivery technology.
• Minimum at least 5 years in a manager role.
• Certification in Product Ownership, PMP or Agile methodologies preferred.
• Experience with move management, routing/dispatch, and carrier/3PL integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and communicate the strategic vision and roadmap for final‑mile delivery capabilities (delivery execution, visibility, proof of delivery, customer communications, and returns/exception handling).
• Lead a team and prioritize the product backlog, overseeing development and deployment of new features and integrations.
• Drive market and user research to inform feature design and long‑term strategy.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners, delivery operations, customer experience, and external clients.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions for last‑mile execution and real‑time exception management.
• Monitor progress and provide executive updates, risks, and Go To Green plans for milestones.
• Oversee release planning and platform upgrades with stakeholder expectations for timelines and readiness.
• Develop business cases for new final‑mile technology investments (routing optimization, visibility, capacity).
• Remove roadblocks and secure cross‑functional support to accelerate delivery and adoption.
• Analyze delivery processes and propose enhancements to improve on‑time performance and customer satisfaction.
