Job summary

Optum AI is seeking a senior product leader to define and execute the strategy for a commercial AI platform. You will own the roadmap, pricing strategy, and interface contracts, while partnering with engineering to deliver value for customers.

You will drive backlog priorities, develop a strong business case, and ensure performance with TCO, unit economics, and regulatory alignment across the platform.

Qualifications

• Experience owning an API-first or platform product consumed by other engineering teams or external developers.
• Proven fluency with AI/ML and LLM-based systems; able to discuss trade-offs with engineering.
• Experience leading platform/SaaS products from conception to launch.
• Strong ability to explain complex technical results to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, roadmap and measured outcomes for the commercial AI platform.
• Define what ships as a product vs a service, and define pricing, SKUs and tiering.
• Translate client demand into a prioritized backlog with technical requirements.
• Prioritize developer experience with clear docs, sandbox data access and support paths.
• Build and defend the business case, including unit economics and margins.
• Define instrumentation and metrics for adoption, value and latency SLOs.
• Coordinate go-to-market with sales, client engineering and operations.
• Ensure platform commitments meet security, privacy, regulatory and residency needs.
